The Green plant

Cheap energy and life services from bio-waste and sun.

"The Green Plant" is a compact renewable energy plant for rural electrification. The concept is based on a hybrid solar and bio-gasification energy system, which is modular and mobile. It delivers cheaper and cleaner energy to a telecom base station and connects the local community to electricity.

The Green Plant runs on biomass sourced from organic agricultural residues or dedicated tree plantations. We work inclusively with local farmers associations to run short cycle biomass operations. One by-product of the process is called bio-char, which can be used as a fertilizer and also acts to bind carbon back into the soil.

Our system is symbiotic. It enables the telecom industry to make a transition to a cost-competitive and reliable low carbon solution, it connects people to electricity thus improving the lives of rural poor and it enhances ecosystem management.

Pamoja Cleantech AB

Enabling tech transfer.

Pamoja Cleantech is a global born start-up enabling tech transfer for clean energy technologies in East Africa to excite sustainable entrepreneurship and climate change mitigation.

Pamoja inititated an academic research program for young engineers from The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Aalto University in Helsinki and Makerere University in Kampala – to assess direct natural cycle impacts of the Green Plant project.

By enhancing the education through formation of multinational teams we co-create demand-driven sustainable energy solutions combining global perspectives with local insights,. We build capacity, sensitize and enable young potentials to spread know-how and awareness of clean technology together with our industry partner Ugandan Industrial Research Institute.
